For sale is a charming, vintage,  Beatrix Potter musical collector plate entitled "A Pocket Full of Onions".  This is the 1st in a series of 8 Issued in "The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny" collection for the Bradford Exchange in 1994 in celebration of Peter Rabbit's 100th Birthday.

This 7 1/8-inch numbered plate is in new condition and is contained in original packaging complete with Certificate of Authenticity and book ”Tale of Peter Rabbit & Benjamin Bunny”. 

The central image of each plate is done in a richly textured sculptural medium.   Each plate in this series is a one-of-a-kind treat depicting the adventure that Peter and Benjamin took in Mr. McGregor's garden.  First the original watercolor illustration is painstakingly replicated in a sculpted master that captures all of the warmth, realism, and unique artistic perspective of Beatrix Potter's work.  Then each plate is carefully hand-cast and hand-painted to faithfully capture every nuance of Miss Potter's wonderful pastel drawings.  Each plate features a wind up mechanism on back that plays music can be displayed either on the wall or on the attached mounted ring.  The colors are lovely and the attention to detail is nicely done making this plate a great gift choice or a beautiful addition to a collection.
