This lovely plate was made by Royal Worcester and is ninth in a series of 12 plates by artist Dorothy Doughty, entitled Cerulean Warblers & Beech. It features a pair of Cerulean warblers in a beech tree. The birds and surrounding foliage are raised from the background and are hand painted with wonderful detail. The outer edge of the plate is scalloped with gold trim. It comes in the original box. The plate is in perfect condition, the box shows some wear. |
