This lovely plate was made by Royal Worcester and is sixth in a series of 12 plates by artist Dorothy Doughty, entitled Paradise Wydah.   It features a paradise wydah, perched on foliage.  The bird and surrounding foliage is raised from the background and is hand painted with wonderful detail.  The outer edge of the plate is scalloped with gold trim.  It comes in the original box.  The plate is in perfect condition, the box shows some wear.
