This lovely plate was made by Royal Worcester and is third in a series of 12 plates by artist Dorothy Doughty, entitled Blue-Grey Gnatcatchers.   It features a pair of gnatcatchers chasing after gnats.  The birds are raised from the background and are hand painted with wonderful detail.  The outer edge of the plate is scalloped and trimmed in gold.  It comes in the original box.  The plate is in perfect, like new condition, the box shows some wear.
