This lovely plate was made by Royal Worcester and is first in a series of 12 plates by artist Dorothy Doughty, entitled Redstarts & Beech.   It features a pair of redstarts in a beech tree.  The birds and surrounding foliage are raised from the background and are hand painted with wonderful detail.  The outer edge of the plate is scalloped and trimmed with gold.  It comes in the original box.  The plate is in perfect, like new condition, the box shows some wear.
