These children play soldier wearing the woven top knots which pull their hair tightly into balls.  Their robes are miniature replicas of what adults would wear.  As described in the accompanying brochure ‘simplicity is the essence of the images captured by the artist, Suetomi.    The number of children, 7, in Japan represents good fortune as does the image of the plum tree.  The plate is numbered and includes a brochure, some information about the artist and a short history of Fukagawa porcelain, a certificate of ‘provenance’ and the original shipping box.  There is an attractive stand for displaying the plate.  The plate has been stored in the original shipping box and never displayed.  Bradex 42-F78-1.1.  The plate will be sent in the original shipping box.
