From 1982, this 7 3/4 inch plate was produced in Bavaria, Germany by Konigszelt Bavaria, and is the second plate issued in the Grimm's Fairy Tale Collection, titled Rapunzel. The artist is Charles Gehn (the last name is at the bottom right on the front of the plate), and the official seal of the City of Hanau, German Federal Republic is also on the back of the plate (as well as the seal of The Brothers Grimm). These plates were produced in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of The Brothers Grimm. The bradford Exchange number is 22-K46-2.2. I have two of these plates, both of which are in their original boxes with certificates of authenticity and brochures (1 in German and 1 in English) containing the story of Rapunzel and information about The Brothers Grimm, the maker of the plate, the City of Hanu, and more. The limited edition plates are hand numbered and one is plate number a505 while the other is 7924L. These plates have holes in the back rims to facilitate hanging them on the wall with wire or string.

This plate is in like new condition with no chips, cracks, scratches, wear, or other problems. The original box and documentation is a little beat up, but not bad.
